GREYLAND - A nordic thriller

Who can you trust in a lawless world?

The feature film Greyland is an intense youth thriller set in a remote and desolate part of Sweden.

At the center is Isabelle (Julia Mäkitalo), a teenager who, in her pursuit of money, loses her moral compass.

How far is she willing to go outside the law to reach her dreams?

Greyland explores this question in a gripping story where nothing is what it seems.

The film is aimed at a younger audience, drawing inspiration from both Scandinavian realism and classic thrillers. Limbo is a film project with both strong entertainment value and moral weight.

The feature film Greyland is produced by Noonday Film and is now seeking distribution partners both in Sweden and internationally.

LOGLINE

Teenage Isabelle is forced to leave everything behind and move to a desolate house. A chance to reclaim her old life draws her straight into a dangerous world where nothing is as it seems.

SYNOPSIS

Isabelle’s world collapses when she is forced to leave everything behind and move with her mother to an isolated house in the middle of nowhere.

When Isabelle learns that her friends are about to share an apartment in the city, she sees a chance to get her old life back. But she needs money for the rent, and time is running out.

Her encounter with Theo, a young guy who knows how to make quick cash, becomes the turning point. At first, his business seems harmless, but soon Isabelle is pulled into something far more dangerous than she could ever have imagined.

THE CAST

Julia Mäkitalo as ISABELLE

Is Julia Mäkitalo a future star? With her captivating presence and natural ability to bring characters to life, it would come as no surprise if we see much more of her in the future.
Julia was most recently seen in SVT’s youth series Västra gymnasiet. She is also at the very beginning of her career as a singer and artist.

Alexander Klum as THEO

Alexander Klum, despite his young age, has already come a long way in his career. With roles in The Sandhamn Murders, SVT’s youth series Just Six, and Tomas Alfredson’s Faithless, Alexander is well on his way to establishing himself as a powerful actor.

Mathias Olofsson as ANDREAS

You’d be hard-pressed to find a more intense actor. In a role that demands a chameleon’s ability to shift character and a rarely seen penetrating gaze, we hope he leaves the stage behind for good and becomes our next favorite among film actors.

Matthias Olofsson has appeared in Viaplay’s The Machinery and lent his voice to Dice’s Battlefield 2042.

Johanna Torell as CAMILLA

Johanna Torell’s acting career spans everything from The Bold and the Beautiful to international feature films with directors such as Mike Figgis (Leaving Las Vegas). She has also starred opposite Alan Rickman in the thriller Nobel Son.

Johanna Torell is an invaluable addition to the ensemble
